About
The company behind PeerLLM.
Best Bytes AI LLC builds and operates PeerLLM, a decentralized AI network, and helps organizations adopt AI on infrastructure they control. Based in Bellevue, Washington.
Why we exist
AI adoption keeps arriving as a package deal: send your data somewhere else, pay per token forever, and trust a system you cannot inspect. For a great many organizations that is not an acceptable trade, and the alternative has been to do nothing.
We built PeerLLM because the alternative should be a real option — open-weight models, running on hardware the organization already owns, behind an interface it can walk away from. Then we started helping companies actually get there, because working software has never been the hard part of adoption.
Hassan Habib, founder

Engineer, author, and open-source advocate. Every claim below is public and independently checkable, which matters more than usual for a company this young.
The record starts in places where mistakes are expensive, and it starts on staff. As a full-time employee at Microsoft: commerce engineering on the Universal Store, the subscription and billing rails behind Xbox and Office, where a small bug becomes millions of support tickets, and engineering on the HoloLens 2 platform. As a full-time employee at Amazon: engineering management on AWS infrastructure, leading teams that deployed datacenters worldwide.
The discipline that came out of that work became The Standard, a unified engineering standard for building distributed systems, now translated by a global community and used by teams well outside it. Alongside it: open-source libraries with millions of downloads, and most of a decade of teaching engineering in public, free.
PeerLLM is where all of it converges — the orchestrator, the host network, the routing and fairness layer, and the agentic engine on top. Best Bytes AI LLC is the company that builds it, operates it, and does the work of helping organizations adopt it.

A software engineering channel, plus a global open-source community built around free education. The teaching is not a marketing channel bolted on afterwards; it is most of a decade of practice.
Microsoft and Amazon appear here as Hassan's own employment history, from before Best Bytes existed. Best Bytes has never been engaged by either company, and neither company endorses or is affiliated with it.
Where we are
Best Bytes is early. PeerLLM had its first official release in April 2026, the network is small and growing, and we are taking on our first business clients now. We would rather say that here than have you work it out later.
What that means in practice: the person who built the platform is the person you will work with, founding clients get terms we will not be able to offer indefinitely, and your requirements will genuinely shape where the product goes next.
